The Wine
The idea behind En Passant came from The Passenger, a classic pop-rock album by Iggy Pop, It's an ephemeral, rolling stone of a wine whose blend changes every year on the whims of the winemaker. The concept is mirrored in the labelling, with constantly changing imagery designed as a storyboard. The 2021 is a blend of Syrah and Carignan, with bright fruit and botanical notes. A mesmerizing red wine!

The Maker
Located in the Languedoc region of France, Domaine Gayda could best be described as ‘quirky.’ Committed to organic and moon phase-based farming from day one, their off-the-wall limited release blends create an impressive amount of eyebrow-raising, even by French standards. As one writer put it, winemaker Vincent Chansault has a “chef’s gift for throwing together bits of this and that and coming out with something so damn delicious it’s impossible to put your metaphorical fork down.”
