When the Romans invaded France 2,000 years ago, they began a centuries-long campaign to “civilize” the tribes of ancient Gaul. They built roads, towns, and planted vineyards all over France to support the new Roman and Gallic populations. As they moved north, they discovered a beautiful region in the northwest of Gaul that they called Armorica, after the Gallic word “Armor”.

Today, this area is called Brittany after many Celtic immigrants from Brittania crossed the channel to settle here.

Armorica is produced from vines at the southern tip of historical Brittany, near the old fortified fortress of Clisson that once guarded the southern frontier of Brittany. We believe strongly in responsible agriculture, and these vines are grown using organic methods and practices, much like it was done hundreds of years ago.

Armorica is a blend of Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, and Pinot Gris from responsibly-farmed vines in southern historical Brittany. The family who farms this beautiful land has a long history of producing award-winning wines from these ancient slopes. The grapes are farmed using organic methods without the use of synthetic herbicides, pesticides, or fertilizers. In short, we believe in taking care of the earth.
