An elegant, yet easy drinking, red with bright tannins and silky red berry fruit. This is the essence of Gamay grown on some of the appellation’s finest terroirs. It's balance between chalky, seashell minerality and lively fruit is unparalleled. It's a wine that will drink perfectly this Thanksgiving or potentially cellar for years to come.

A wide variety of soils which each give their character to the wines; Granite soils for the fruity cuvées of Sainte Paule, clay-limestone in the Bois d'Oingt, for the Terroir cuvée, which is then aged for many months in oak "foudres".

An anecdote: the gryphées....
A gypheus is a fossilized oyster. It is easily found in some of our vines in Bois d'Oingt, and the golden stones of our house are encrusted with it, as seen in the background of this website.

Vinous: 91 Points
Brilliant ruby. Fragrant aromas of cherry and dark berries are complicated by suggestions of licorice and succulent flowers. Chewy and broad on the palate, offering sappy, smoke-accented blackberry and bitter cherry flavors that display very good depth and energy. Shows more sweetness on the long, spicy, youthfully tannic finish, which leaves behind a juicy dark fruit note.
