2019 Snowden Napa Valley "The Ranch" Cabernet Sauvignon
$ 66.99
Snowden produces classically styled, terroir-driven wines reflecting the unique heritage and character of the land. The Snowden family came to the ranch in 1955. Originally a 160 acre homestead, the property has a grape-growing history dating back to 1878. During the decades of stewardship, four generations of Snowdens have been privileged to walk the woods and vineyards of this lovely and secluded place.
Winemaker Diana Snowden Seysses is also the winemaker at the reknowned Domaine Dujac in Burgundy.
Winemaker Notes
The 2019 vintage gave a gentle Ranch Cabernet, with a bouquet offering sweet tobacco, black cherries and muscovado sugar. The palate is broad and generous with layers of dark fruit and soft tannins. This is a quintessential Napa Cabernet ready to be enjoyed immediately and often.
Critical Acclaim
Vinous, 91 points
The 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon The Ranch is elegant and nuanced, with the transparency that is typical of many of the 2019s here. This is a decidedly old-school leaning Cabernet that leans towards the more delicate end of the spectrum. Drinking Window: 2024 - 2034.
