Vosne-Romanée has 14 Premiers Crus and 7 Grands Crus. The vineyard land is 320 meters in altitude and faces east–southeast on brown chalk and clay soil with stones. The Pinot Noir grapes are fermented in open vats for up to 4 weeks, and then the wine is matured for 18 months in oak barrels.

This wine's luscious, silky texture envelops a spectrum of ripe crushed berry fruit flavors and aromas marked by notes of minerals and spice underscored by elegant tannins and seductive woodsy nuances.

Vosne Romanée vineyards are situated just to the north of Nuits-Saint-Georges. The two greatest vineyards of Vosne Romanée and Flagey-Echezeaux, are entitled to use the Vosne-Romanée appellation.
