2017 Granbazan Granbazan Albarino Etiqueta Verde
James Suckling 92
"This offers up plenty of bright pear, grapefruit and melon character. Flinty and juicy, nicely cut and really fresh."
From The Winery:
Pale golden color, with green hue. Complex aromas of green apples, grassy, citrus and tropical fruits; white flowers show up in a second layer. Mouth filling sensation with crispy acidity. Elegant, balanced and pleasant aftertaste with a salty after taste
Granbazán verde, is a classic style Salnes Valley (Close to Cambados, World Albarino Capital) wine, directly affected by the sea breeze, shows a distinctive salty after taste, and complex floral aromas. Great aging potential.
Winemaking process: The grapes without stems are submitted to a cold maceration between 6 and 8 ºC for 8 hours, in order to extract all the aromatic potential from the solid parts (pulp and skins) of the grape. Then, blends of free run juices, and gentle pressings. 2 weeks ferment at low temperatures ( below 17ºC), and 4 months on fine lees. Light filtration and, 6 weeks in bottle before being released.
