2017 Conte Vistarino Sangue di Guida Costiolo
Conte Vistarino has been held by the same family for 1000 years. They have been making wine for many of those centuries as well as growing other crops. In the northern Italy between Alto Adige and Piemonte, they focus on only a few wines. All of them quite delightful.
Sangue di Giuda (Blood of Judas) is the deep red, slightly sparkling, delectably sweet wine. A traditional blend of Barbera, Croationa and Uva Rara are the grapes that when they join forces create a special treat.
It is medium-bodied, sweet, lightly fizzy. Deep ruby red color with an unmistakable fruity, fresh and fresh grape aromas. Sweet, fresh palate with well balanced in sweetness and acidity, smooth with a delightful long mineral finish. Thanks to the low alcohol content, this wine is pleasantly easy to drink.
