2016 Quinta da Lapa Nana Reserva
Located on a 300 year old estate, Quinta da Lapa is a stunningly beautiful winery in the remote, mountainous part of the Tejo region. Nana Reserva is named after the original winemaker's wife, a charming and approachable person throughout the village. A blend of Touriga Nacional, Castelao, and Alicante Bouschet, it has strong aromas of ripe red fruit and exotic flowers. Hints of vanilla with undertones of spice and chocolate are balanced with chewy, ripe tannins, good acidity, and a elegant, persistent finish.
Fermentation in stainless steel vats with controlled temperature.
12 months in French and American oak wood.
Deep ruby color with grená reflections, expressive aromas of wood, plum and ripe cherry, with notes of cocoa and spices. Excellent volume of mouth, very balanced and fresh with a long and striking finish.
50% Touriga Nacional, 25% Castelão, 20% Alicante Bouschet and 5% Aragonês
