Cantina Chiacchiera is an estate winery in the highly regarded Cervognano zone of the Montepulciano region of Tuscany. It was founded in 2010 by Emanuela Mancianti and her family when the family stopped selling their grapes and started making their own wines, initially selling in bulk. The name of the winery ‘Chiacchiera’ is the Italian term for chatterbox, the nickname for Emanuela’s talkative father Mario. The main wines are Rosso di Montepulciano DOC, and Vino Nobile di Montepulciano DOCG. There is a tasting room in the winery for visitors.

The Vino Nobile di Montepulciano can only be obtained from grapes grown in the production area provided for by the specification, using the following vines:
Sangiovese, called Montepulciano Prugnolo gentile, a minimum 70% and Black Canaiolo, up to a maximum of 20%.

Italy, Tuscany, Montepulciano (around Sienna)
Montepulciano Prugnolo Gentile (maybe some Black Canaiolo, we aren't sure of the final blend)

An adult signature is required upon delivery, so please keep that in mind when shipping this gift to friends, family and peers.
