2016 Broadside Cabernet Sauvignon
Every now and then a reasonably priced Cabernet Sauvignon from California comes along. Not that often, but it happens. This is a very respectable example of that circumstance and has been validated by the New York Times and the Today Show.
The 2016 Broadside Cabernet Sauvignon is incredibly well priced and a pretty good drinking wine.
Low yields of flavorful fruit, produced a serious, concentrated, yet still elegant Cabernet Sauvignon. Fresh boysenberry, peppercorn, and sweet tobacco notes highlight ample fruit in the nose, complemented by subtle notes of toasty oak vanillin and cigar box. Cassis, green olive, and fresh berry acidity greet the palate with an underlying current of fine tannin, coalescing in a dry, persistent finish.
