2015 Neyers Zinfandel Vista Luna
Thanks to a little known phenomenon called the ‘Sierra Rotor’, the Borden Ranch AVA in Calaveras County remains cool during the hot summers making it arguably one of the best places to grow Zinfandel. It is an outcropping of hard rock brought to the surface during the formation of the mountain range several million years ago. The rocky base provides a host of mineral components that later influence the flavors of the finished wine.
