We have embraced the Albariño grape since the first bottle graced our table. When handled well, Albariño is beautifully
perfumed with medium body, fruity notes and pleasant acidity.

La Cana was founded in 2008 and currently has 25 Ha located in the valley of Salnes, which is the most northern section of the D.O. of Rias Baixas. The acreage is divided amongst 38 very small parcels and all are within 3 km of the ocean. The vines are planted in the pergola system which is traditional in this area. All the wine is aged sur lie, being part fermented in stainless steel and part in large format French oak barrels.

"Light, bright yellow. Lively, sharply focused scents of lime zest, green apple, jasmine, tarragon and ginger. Dry and taut on the palate, offering vibrant citrus and orchard fruit flavors and a hint of smoky minerals that builds with air. The floral note comes back strong on the finish, which shows excellent clarity and firm mineral bite. This wine was aged in stainless steel tanks, with some lees stirring to add body." 91pts Vinous
