2014 Tenuta Sette Ponti Crognolo
The Sette Ponti Estate is located between Florence and Arezzo and takes its name from the number of bridges that cross the Arno River between the two cities. The first of these bridges, the Buriano Bridge (13th century) can be seen in the background of Leonardo da Vinci's Mona Lisa.
Crognolo is named after a wild bush, Cornus, that grows abundantly on the estate. Made predominantly from Sangiovese with a small amount of Merlot.
A full bouquet of ripe cherry and berries well blended with spicy notes that give a classiness and complexity. Full bodied, well balanced and vibrant on the palate, ell rounded tannins and depth.
GRAPES: Sangiovese 90%, Merlot 10%
APPELLATION: Tuscany IGT
