2013 Adelaida Finder White
One of the pioneers of the Paso Robles AVA and the Adelaida Distict, Adelaida's Cellars seven family-owned vineyards lie in the craggy hillside terrain of west Paso Robles, 14 miles from the Pacific coast. These low-yielding vines seem to flourish in chalky limestone soils and afternoon blasts of cool marine air.
The Finder is a Rhone-style blend emphasizing estate-grown Grenache Blanc (40%- the white cousin of Grenache Noir), Viognier (28%- bringing slightly honeyed flavors), Picpoul Blanc (20%- providing citrus flavors) & Roussanne (12%- supplying richness). The result is a wine with aromas of wild flower honey, granny smith apples and citrus blossoms followed by flavors of ripe peach, flinty minerality and citrus-nectarine compote.
