2012 Louis Jadot Pommard
The commune of Pommard produces only red wines, and has no Grands Crus. The Clos de la Commaraine is 10 acres near the
village of Pommard, east-facing and situated on deep, well-drained, stony soil. The vineyard is a monopole of Louis Jadot.
Pommard is one of the communes that have been hit with hail, frost and other crises in each year since. This is probably the last
year for some time that we will see much Pommard. We are not saying get it while you can, but if you like Pommard, it is time.
There is a velvety texture to this full bodied, rich and concentrated pinot noir. Raspberry candy, red berries, wild flowers and hints of
mint lead into a mildly dry and prolonged finish. This Pommard is opulent and racy.
