2012 Emile Beyer L'Hostellerie Riesling
The Beyer family can produce history back to the 16th Century of their winegrowing background. Sometimes they were French and sometime they were German, but always winegrowers. The purchased their current property in Eguisheim in 1792 when it was first permitted in France.
An aromatic and sprightly wine, with fruity citrus notes and great balance. This is a food Riesling to be sure, and will pair beautifully with everything from creamy cheeses to grilled seafood. It's still quite young; give it a few years--if you can wait, but if you cannot, you will still enjoy it completely.
