2011 Qupe Maxtap Cuvee Red Blend
The Chumash Indian Tribe are the true indigenous people living in the Central Coast and Channel Islands of California. In Chumash, äóìqupeäó? refers to the poppy, a flowering plant traditionally used for food and medicine. In 1903, the California Poppy was designated the state flower, and every spring, masses of the bright orange blossoms blanket the hills of California.
Maxtap presents with soft tannins, plump fruit and spices. Both aromas and flavors are of ripe berries and dried cherry with hints of tobacco and wild herbs.
This wine is a blend of 64% Syrah, 18% Grenache, 15% Tempranillo and 3% Mourvedre.
