Grown on a mixture of granite and schist bedrock, ancient vines of Caiño Redondo, Espadeiro, and Loureiro Tinto produce this incredible and unique red. The reds from Rias Baixas are often feather light with copious acidity. Manuel retains those characteristics but with the help of the old vines this has sappier fruit and richer mid-palate. Red and black fruits with earthy savory notes accentuated with nuances of bay leaf and spice that somehow drinks like white wine save for the tannins. The warmth of 2018 led to a standout vintage for this wine and it is as rare and special as any of Manuels whites.

This is a wine high acid, mineral characteristics, a rustic personality and medium body. It's comes from 45ish year old vines. And it's a red wine.
