2016 Emina Verdejo
The name Emina is an homage to the Cistercian monks of the Monastery of Saint Mary of Valbuena, founded in the XII century, that is only meters away from Emina winery which was founded by Carlos Moro who yearned leave his other businesses to make quality wine.
2007 saw the birth and blossoming of Emina Rueda, situated in Medina del Campo (Valladolid), overlooking the majestic La Mota castle. This modern building houses the latest technology for the production of quality white wines and is equipped with facilities that not only reduce energy consumption, but also allow for the use and production of environmentally-friendly energy sources. La Verdejo, the grape variety native to the Rueda Denominacion de Origen, is both renowned across the world and the sort most favored by this winery.
Primary aromas of fresh tropical fruit of banana and pineapple, in perfect harmony with characteristic verdejo scents such as lavender blossoms, touches of fennel and thyme, hay and fresh herbs. Medium structure, with acidity which gives the wine freshness. Elegant fruit flavors with the typical bitter touch of this grape variety on finish.
