2014 Alta Pavina Pavina
The madness of the Ortega brothers leads them to produce Pinot Noir two kilometers from the Duero River in Valladolid. With close to 3,000 feet altitude and extreme weather conditions, this project begins with planting the vineyard in 1985. The Spanish Pinot Noir takes you to a world of sensations never before experienced. In particular, not in Spain since these are the only Pinot Noir producers there.
Essence of toasted oak, balsamic, and fruit on the nose. The blend of Pinot Noir with 25% Tempranillo blends beautifully to give the wine great balance and satisfying finish.
