Marsannay is a village level located in the northern part of the Côte de Nuits a short distance of Dijon, the regional capital. Chanson works with 4 growers in Marsannay who farm 11 acres, and has made this appellation an intense focus because of the serious quality the wines can achieve when diligently approached, and the sheer pleasure they can offer. Chanson’s Marsannay always shows lovely red fruit and spice supported by a generous body and silky, refined tannins.

In 1999 Chanson Pere & Fils is integrated in the family group around Bollinger Champagne.

This group of family domains brings together the best specialists in every area: Bollinger and Ayala in Champagne, Langlois-Chateau in the Loire, Delamain in Cognac. A new team, with extensive experience in the major areas of the Côte de Beaune and Côte de Nuits, makes every effort to pursue high quality.

Authenticity, letting the terroirs express themselves and a close partnership with the best winemakers of Burgundy, contribute to this.

The soil is composed of clay and limestone. The village is located in the northern part of the Côte de Nuits at a short distance from Dijon, the regional capital.
