2021 Cobb "Mes Filles Vineyard" Sonoma Coast Chardonnay Vinous 93 The 2021 Chardonnay Mes Filles Vineyard is complex and effusive. It shows all the linear intensity Ross Cobb seeks in his wine, but there is more aromatic breadth, a bit more mid-palate depth and, in my view, better balance. He achieves all of that here while still preserving notable energy and tension. This site sits along the coolest edge of the Sebastopol Hills bordering on the Valley Ford corridor. This wine is all delicacy and minerality, with a core of lovely texture than can only be described as Chablis-esque. Originally planted by the DuNah famiy in 1998, David Gensler is now at the helm both living on and farming the property. We are honored to have this vineyard within our portfolio.
