The Caravan Story
Caravan shares the pedigree of Darioush’s Signature wines, but displays more ripe, saturated fruit with an elegantly textured finish. Caravan is anchored in Cabernet Sauvignon with lesser amounts of Merlot, Cabernet Franc and/or Malbec and Petit Verdot added for depth and complexity of flavor.

How Does it Taste?
A refreshing and aromatic lift of red fruits reaches out of the glass to welcome a first sip that is framed by a smooth medley of red plum, raspberry, red licorice, and sassafras. The soulful fruit core is mixed with savory notes of bay leaf, green tea, and cinnamon stick, then all wrapped in coating of milk chocolate. These harmonious and alluring flavors resonate on the long, enjoyable finish.

How is it Made?
Meticulous attention to detail in the vineyard and minimal cellar handling. Hand-harvested, de-stemmed and then fermented in stainless steel tanks. Aged 22 months in 60% new and 40% neutral French oak barrels. Barrel lots were racked at least once before bottling. Hope Goldie is the winemaker.
