The Story behind Accidental Wine

Micah and David  have been consuming reds, whites and blushes around the world for years, but especially right here in LA.  Much of the LA wine drinking was developed through a friendship with The Candy Maker. Micah kept bringing the chocolate maker homemade marshmallows, and we kept buying his wines at remarkably low prices. David, of course kept buying the wine and the chocolate.

So, what do chocolate and marshmallows have to do with wine anyway? Well, the chocolate maker was also a major wine distributor. The prices were low because the labels were blemished. BLEMISHED labels, yikes! What about the wine? Well, it was always PERFECT.

But alas, one day the candy factory was gone. Just like that, it was sold and the wine disappeared.   No more treasure hunt in the candy factory, and no more wonderful wine at wonderful prices. Aaaahh….but that changed over a meal (with wine).

Our friend the chocolate maker and wine seller was no longer a chocolate maker, but had a lot of wine, with more arriving every day, and no place from which to sell his wines with blemished labels.  So, over lunch and a bottle of his fine wine, we found the resolution to the war in Iraq, healthcare, the price of oil, and finally what to do with the wine.  We decided to sell it on the Internet to all of our friends.  And, lo and behold, there was the Accident, or at least The Accidental Wine Company.

So once upon a time, The Accidental Wine Company was formed by Micah, Janice, and David to bring you, our friends, and new friends,  terrific wine, modest prices (in fact so modest that you couldn’t buy them anywhere else for less money) and much more than a modicum of adventure and pleasure.
